Adena Health Foundation
This foundation is the fund-raising and grant-making organization for Adena Health System. Its mission is to be a catalyst for advancing the health of local communities.
Area Served: This foundation focuses its giving on communities served by the Adena Health System.
Emphasis: Adena Health Foundation is interested in funding health-related nonprofits working to improve the health and well-being of local residents. Other community activities include providing charity care for low-income patients, free and low-cost health screenings, community health education, health-related scholarships, and support for student health promotion at local schools.
Grant Information: Through its Community Health Partners Grants, this foundation provides awards of up to $10,000 for new, innovative projects that can be shown to directly improve health for residents in the 10-county service area covered by Adena Health System. Their Health Ministry Grants provide matching dollars on a 2:1 basis up to $1,000 for participating churches.
